Security Philosophy

Tourniq is designed around the understanding that live event operations often involve highly time-sensitive and operationally sensitive information. The platform architecture prioritizes controlled access, operational privacy, team-based visibility, and minimized exposure of sensitive data.

Infrastructure Security

• Private object storage and signed URL protection
• Authentication enforcement and restricted administrative access
• Audit monitoring and encrypted communications
• Permission segmentation and controlled operational visibility

Team-Based Access Controls

Operational information within Tourniq is not universally public. Visibility depends on team membership, assigned permissions, managerial roles, operational responsibilities, and profile visibility settings. Certain private information is intentionally restricted to authorized managerial personnel only.

Sensitive Information Handling

Tourniq recognizes that touring environments may require handling sensitive information including medical conditions, emergency contacts, transportation logistics, hotel information, identification details, and operational schedules. Users are encouraged to only provide information necessary for legitimate operational coordination.

Location Sharing Safety

Real-time location sharing is always started by the user and can be stopped at any time. A driver's or sharer's live location is visible only to authorized team members and assigned passengers of the relevant journey, and is removed once the journey ends. Background sharing requires explicit device permission, and iOS shows a system indicator while it is active. Users should share their location only for legitimate operational coordination.

Document Security

• Temporary signed access links with expiration mechanisms
• Restricted visibility and permission-based retrieval systems
• Private storage with access controls

Abuse Prevention

Tourniq may monitor platform activity patterns to detect spam, prevent unauthorized access, identify abuse, investigate suspicious behavior, and maintain operational integrity.

Incident Response

Tourniq reserves the right to temporarily restrict access, suspend accounts, remove content, revoke permissions, or investigate incidents when platform safety or operational security may be at risk. For security concerns, contact safety@tourniq.app.
